Who am I?

My name is Thibaut and I spent the past 25 years working at the heart of the aerospace industry.
Alongside my career, I have been involved in amateur competitive cycling since the age of 15 — a passion that has never faded.

I started my career in a time when engineers relied heavily on Excel macros to produce structural calculation reports. Since then, tools have evolved significantly.
However, in many industrial environments, working methods have not always kept pace with these technological advances.

The Turning Point

In 2020, like many others, I was deeply impacted by the Covid crisis.
It became a turning point — a moment to step back and rethink my direction.

I immersed myself in Data Science to learn modern tools: Python programming, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and automation.

My goal was not to change careers, but to enhance my engineering expertise with tools that significantly increase efficiency and impact.

Why De Facto Data?

Throughout my journey — as an engineer, tutor, and trainer — one idea became clear:

Data and artificial intelligence are not abstract concepts reserved for specialists.
They are practical tools that can dramatically improve productivity and precision in technical fields.

That is why I created De Facto Data.

My approach is simple: Zero Bullshit.
No unnecessary theory, no hype.
Only practical tools you can use to automate and strengthen your expertise.

When I’m not writing automation scripts or analyzing structures, I take time to disconnect.

You will most likely find me cycling up a mountain pass or plugging in my electric guitar to play a few rock riffs.
